As experienced importers, CGL recognised the excessive cost and challenging logistics behind importing smaller volumes from overseas. With shipping rates rising exponentially, we knew it was time to bring a solution to market that would provide smaller businesses with the benefits larger shippers enjoy.
How we’re doing it
We are proud to launch CGL Alliance – an industry-first alliance designed to level the shipping playing field.
By joining smaller importers together, CGL is able to use its collective experience to negotiate bulk discount rates for each of its members.
Ideal for those looking to import between one and five containers per month, each member is able to benefit from unmatched shipping rates, usually exclusive to the largest importers.
Why we’re doing it
As a family-run business, CGL has felt first-hand the impact of rising shipping rates, and the limitations shipping politics can impose.
We decided it was time to join together as a community and provide new opportunities for growth.
